Before starting University for this term, the only experience I had with Wiki's was Wikipedia. Now, as Uni students we are told to avoid Wikipedia in assessment work as they are not a reliable source. I now understand why - if anyone can get on and submit or change work, then how on earth do we know if they are right? I tend to use Wikipedia as a tool to find out some initial information or get my brain moving and then I head to the right channels.
I can see that this would be a really good tool for collaboration in the classroom, allowing students to build up a repertoire of information of which to reflect on.
I have set up my very first Wiki.......please have a look and feel free to comment
