Image Manipulation

Now, this has been really interesting for me personally as I have always loved to play around with my photos (comes from being a scrapbooker!)......
I loved the simplicity of Mobaphoto in order to reduce file sizes and do basic editing.  Students would be able to use this when uploading images to certain sites that will only accept small files.
Piknic is more of one-stop photo editing tool.  It allows you to upload and edit your photos, create collages, print and share with family and friends.  I spent quite a bit of time playing around on here and it has some really cool effects that can be used.  I am struggling, though, to think of ways that I would use this in a Home Economics sense.  It would certainly allow for creativity and I guess they have the ability to then use those manipulated images on textile pieces and assessments.
I have added a photo that shows just some of the manipulation techniques that can be used.

  1. I struggled with finding why these tools would be affective in a classroom setting as well. I believe that for my English and SOSE, if would only be used in collaboration with another ICT tool such as a website, wiki, blog or anything else online.
